Presentation X-Factors

1. don't over prepare - continuous rehearsal will make you sound robotic

2. don't abuse the visuals - 3 to 4 bullet points and one picture - keep the message you want to convey simple

3. talk to your audience - you should look at the slide for reference and know what the content on your slide is - you audience is there to watch you present, not hear you read your information

4. big picture - when you refer to data or your visuals - what does it mean and how should people interpret this data

5. show your personality - you can walk from different positions to gauge your audiences attention - and make them laugh if possible - you will be very engaging and memorable

6. eliminate the pauses - watch the "umm" and "ahh" - take a breathe and understand that you have great information to share, and people want to listen
